I have been the littlest brother for almost 21 years now and that has shaped my way of responding to all types of situations. Even though it is just my second semester now in the Student Wellness Ambassador Team (S.W.A.T.) it has still shaped my views in many sorts of ways.
Being the youngest brother of three older brothers has come with a ton of different difficulties but it has also taught me many helpful things. Being the youngest has taught me to be confident no matter what other people say, I’m good at problem-solving and I am highly social. Being confident no matter what people say is a very helpful trait to have because you will always be shot down no matter where you go, like if you are presenting a new idea to your superiors that may not be very popular. Keeping a hard head when it comes to criticism is critical because people will always try to knock your idea for many different reasons. Problem-solving is also very important because it can help you figure out non-ideal situations and that usually impresses people very much. Also being highly social will help me very much because people like somebody who is easy to get along with and that can keep a good conversation whether it be in or out of the workplace. Even though I have only been in S.W.A.T. for about a year it has shaped how I interact on an everyday basis. One thing is that I am much more aware of who I am around while I am speaking. It has made me analyze every situation very carefully and has helped me be able to educate my peers on tons of different topics effectively. These two impacts on my life are the main reasons I am who I am today and they both affect how I interact with everyday situations.
